Playing Our Part – Our Corporate Responsibility Initiatives
Capital Shopping Centres, part of the Liberty International group, has a commitment to working with all parts of the local community in the areas where it has shopping centres, including The Potteries Shopping Centre. Our centres provide jobs for local people and act as core amenities for the communities they serve.
What we do
Across the country, in areas where our shopping centres are located, we run a varied programme of projects and campaigns to promote help for young people, prevention of anti-social behaviour and the benefits of vocational and other education initiatives, particularly in retail and construction skills. We work with national charities and local stakeholders to deliver these projects at a local level.
It is very important that young people are able to develop their skills, gain confidence and make the most of available opportunities. For very young people, we work with ICAN, a charity dedicated to identifying and helping those with communication difficulties from a young age.
